Explosive leaps build up leg power and strength. They dramatically increase the explosive power of an athlete’s leap. Practice them regularly, and you will notice huge improvements in your performance.
Start off in a lunge position, with one foot forward with the knee bent. The hips should be facing forward. Now, jump as high as you can from the front leg. Swap the legs around in mid-air, and land with the opposite leg forward. Repeat this exercise for as many reps and sets as your exercise program recommends.
Again, this exercise is designed to help you leap higher by building up the strength in your legs.
Begin by squatting down. Then, leap upward as high as you can, with your arms reaching high into the air. Land back on your feet, pause for a couple of seconds, and then repeat. Do this for as many timers as your vertical leap program recommends.

Start by positioning yourself with your legs at shoulder width. Then, you should leap as high as possible, and turn 180 degrees in the air. Land, and then repeat. Once more, follow your training program for the recommended number of reps and sets.
